The Program

Fewer than 10 percent of lost cats brought in to shelters are reunited with their owners. A microchip gives pets the best chance of being identified and returned home safely should they ever become lost.

The DAVMS, Dumb Friends League, the Metro Denver Shelter Alliance, Bayer resQ and HomeAgain are committed to ensuring that more owners are happily reunited with their lost cats. The CHIP YOUR CAT program is a unique local effort that is part of a larger plan to improve health care for cats, raise awareness about cat issues, and enhance the image of cats as pets.
